Managers can no longer succeed simply by being the most skilled person on staff. Effective managers must also have high levels of emotional intelligence, individual and group-based interpersonal competencies, and sophisticated project management skills. In this instructor led, virtual course, managers will learn new ways to manage their workforce, specifically, how to effectively communicate with, motivate, manage and discipline remote and/or hybrid staff. They will leave this course with a better understanding of how to use technology and other tools to hold their staff accountable while allowing for autonomous work. Modalities of learning include lecture, Socratic discussion, and peer-based application/feedback.
