Marcela is a business executive with extensive experience in Fortune 500 organizations. She has managed numerous U.S. and international teams in the financial services, and healthcare industries. As Managing Director at MCBI Advisors, and Partner at Surfside Capital Advisors LLC, she is focused on helping business leaders address strategic business and operational issues to achieve sustainable advantage and success. Her work is anchored on implementing transformative human capital initiatives that directly impact core business strategies.
Marcela’s expertise includes organizational design, values-based performance management, talent management strategies, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Previously, Marcela was the Inaugural Director Of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Mass General Brigham (Formerly Partners HealthCare). Marcela is a dedicated advocate for women and minorities. She was appointed by Massachusetts’ Governor Charlie Baker to serve on the State’s first Latino Advisory Commission where she is serving her fourth year.
She is also the Board Chair of ALPFA’s National Board of Directors, a professional association with more than 100 thousand members and 150 chapters across the country. Marcela is a member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network Advisory Board, the International Women’s Forum (IWF), Cambridge College Board of Trustees, and The Partnership, Inc. Board of Directors. In 2021, Marcela was recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Powerful Latinas in the Nation. She was also recognized as one of the Top 100 Executive Leaders in the USA by Diversity MBA Magazine.
Andreina is an administrative professional and business aficionado, committed to creating solutions for businesses and enabling growth in professional settings. With 20 years of experience in the executive world, she has managed the infrastructure operations of a couple of Fortune 500 companies and higher ed. She has a B. A in Business Administration is an alum of the LEADS Harvard Leadership Program and has earned Cornell Women-Owned Business Certification.
Andreina is a connector of people, opportunities, and professional development. She’s built a model around helping businesses increase their margin while decreasing their liabilities. In her first start-up, The Vieras, Andreina saved her clients millions in operational and strategic pivots while providing modern solutions to elevate company culture.
Her new role in Arka HR as Co-Founder and President, will broaden the horizons of clients’ business potential and create a new lane of business development. Her experience in developing companies from the inside out will set the tone on how to strengthen internal operations in a fresh way. Andreina is an advocate for creating opportunities for women of color and empowering growth within disadvantaged communities through her non-profit, Boss Lady.
HR Manager
Raquel holds a Master of Education and a Master of Management in Organizational Development. The breadth and depth of Raquel’s experience spans across academia, corporate America, non-profit and the private sector. Her combined background in education and management has resulted in targeted recruitment and job placement strategies, talent management, along with learning and development programs that have greatly enhanced retention and succession planning within senior leadership.
When she is not overseeing and supporting Arka team members with HR Solutions and supporting business growth, she is serving as a Board Member of Faraday Publishing as their Director of Education, coordinating poetry reading events and participating in open mics. Raquel’s leadership and management skills foster professional growth and development to her team who in turn provide high quality deliverables to clients receiving HR Solutions from Arka.
HR Manager
Marisela is a seasoned HR professional with a Master of Management from Santo Domingo Technological Institute, a Certificate in Quality and Productivity Management and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. After spending a bit over a decade with Nestle Caribbean Region serving as the Regional Human Resources Business Partner she ventured out as an entrepreneur woman-led small business as MARG Consulting. Soon thereafter, she joined MCBI Advisors as the Talent Management Leader where her knowledge and experience directly support Human Resources processes with recruitment and sourcing, performance evaluation, analysis and design of job descriptions, organizational structures and compensation analysis.
Marisela is also an adjunct professor at INTEC University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She is an accredited Professor who teaches topics that range from Compensation and Recognition to Systems of Human Talent Management. She is the proud mother of three young up and coming professional women who are paving their professional careers as their mother has for herself and other women as well.
Marketing Manager
Cristina, is a marketing and brand strategist, merging creative strategy with business goals. Her background is in fashion multi-media and styling, inspiring her expertise of aligning brand impression with eye-catching visuals. She specializes in content creation, social media management, graphic design and brand experience development. She’s worked with companies like Stylesight, Glamour, Instyle, Latina, Target, Shoedazzle/Just Fab, Pantene & Saks 5th Avenue.
In addition to her role with Arka, Cristina manages her own marketing agency & size-inclusive online boutique that focus on elevating women professionals. She has direct experience in editorial marketing, brand development & digital marketing platforms. She’s received her educational accolades from The Art Institute of NYC, Fashion Institute of Technology. She is based out of Boston & Merrimack Valley.
HR Generalist
Audrey graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Human Resources Management. She has worked in the non-profit and private sectors, specifically with arts, entertainment, and hospitality.
She is passionate about assisting organizations by developing policies and practices that align with overall business strategy.

Anthony has worked in the Human Resource arena for many years and uses his creative mindset to assist organizations with company culture. His background in Behavioral Health gives him the ability to see the big picture of an organization. where he aids in adjusting policies and procedures to induce a better work life balance for all.
Anthony holds a Master of Business as well as the concentration of Child and Family Development from Georgia Southern University. He has an eye for compensation analysis that helps his clients keep a competitive edge in the employee sourcing arena.

Ana is a Human Resources and Marketing professional with extensive knowledge in various subject areas including HR, marketing, Spanish translation, and training with more than 20 years of experience working in the corporate setting.
As an HR professional, Ana has spent more than seven (7) years mastering different HR processes such as: launching a reward & recognition program, wellness programs and a training catalogue, instrumental in managing the vacation and leave of absence modules for four (4) countries, putting systems in place for effective and efficient operating processes within the HR department.
Director and Chairperson for the Education and Supervisory Committee of an established Credit Union Cooperative for five (5) years consecutively. With seven (7) years in marketing, she increased her knowledge in business development through the execution of brand events, promotions, brand building and trade partnerships.
Ana is driven, goal-oriented and possesses the desire to learn new skills and gain new experiences. She enjoys reading, traveling, and experiencing different cultures. Ana loves meeting new people from different backgrounds and always works toward growing her interpersonal and social networking skills to continuously develop her passion for people and understanding people.

Gabriela graduated Northeastern University with a degree in public health and social entrepreneurship and now applies this training to the HR field. As an HR Administrator, she provides clients with support on matters regarding payroll, compliance, and recruitment. She’s passionate about helping others and spends her free time volunteering.

With an expertise in employee development, Robert James promotes a balance between self teaching and collaborative learning yielding a high percentage of employee retention for his clients. In his free time, he likes to read and spend time with his family and friends.

As the Finance Associate for Arka, Karina oversees and manages financial transactions and processes for the company. Her ability to analyze client questions and concerns, coordinate with appropriate teams and handle service request to the satisfaction of our clients.
Karina bring 15 years of client relations and customer service. Her goal is to provide clients with an excellent experience by building strong customer relationships.
Executive Assistant
Karla studied Foreign Trade and International Business at the Tecnologico de Soledad Atlántico Institute -ITSA. She also studied English as a second language at Howard Community College, in Columbia, Maryland.
Karla brings four years of experience in the area of logistics and transportation, global supply chain, and is looking forward to putting these skills into practice and developing new skills with Arka HR Solutions. She is a proud mother of a 3-month-old child and is fully enjoying motherhood to its fullest.

Gabriela Taveras has 5+ years of experience within Human Resources working for various organizations, providing support in human resource management and development, workforce development, recruitment, data analysis, and operations management. Having worked for the third-largest staffing agency in the country, Gabriela has keen insight on the impact of organizational policies, compensation, and diversity as it relates to achieving an organization’s intended goals and objectives.
Gabriela received her BA in Neuroscience from Emmanuel College as well as her Certification in Compensation Analysis through the Compensation Analyst Academy. She is a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Fellow at the D’Amore McKim School of Business at Northeastern University proactively seeking a Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with a concentration in Human Resource: Corporate Renewal.
